Progressive Original music & Eclectic Popular Covers

freon cool is a band consisting of 3 lifelong musicians who have been playing around the KC area for well over 25 years. While our roots are in progressive rock, during the dark days of Covid we took a step back and imagined a simpler sound. We stripped things down and went acoustic. This has really allowed us to showcase our vocals and musicianship in a whole new way.  Since that time freon cool has been focused on presenting semi-acoustic interpretations of a variety of rock cover music. This approach breathes new life into familiar songs resulting in a fresh and unique listening experience. These songs blended with our own inspired creations allow us to take the listener on an enjoyable and diverse musical journey. We still venture into the studio to work out our prog frustrations from time to time, but when we play live these days it tends to be as a softer version of ourselves.
